Terms of Use

GoLinkr is intended for private use by small, trusted groups, families, couples, and friends, rather than the general public or businesses. To create an account you must be at least 16 years old. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we'll close it and remove the associated personal data, in line with our Privacy Policy.

GoLinkr is invite-only. You may only join a board if you've been invited by an existing member or via a valid invite code, and you're responsible for using invite codes only as intended, not distributing them publicly.

You're responsible for keeping your login details (including your password) confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Please use a strong, unique password. Let us know straight away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account (for example, a real, working email address) and to keep it up to date.

"Your content" means anything you add to GoLinkr, links, notes, comments, polls, checklists, tags, favourites, your profile picture, and anything else you post or upload. You keep ownership of your content. We don't claim any ownership over it.

By posting content to a board, you give the other members of that board permission to see it, comment on it, and, depending on the board's shared-editing model, organise, move, or remove it, since that's how a shared board is designed to work. You also give us the limited licence needed to store, process, and display your content in order to operate the Service (for example, hosting it, generating thumbnails, or sending related notifications).

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything that:

• You don't have the right to share (for example, copyrighted material you don't own or have permission to use);
• Is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights;
• Is intended to harass, threaten, or harm another person;
• Contains malware or anything designed to disrupt the Service or another user's device.

We generally don't monitor content proactively, since boards are private, but we may act on reports or remove content that clearly breaches these Terms (see Acceptable Use below).

Don't use GoLinkr to:

• Spam, harass, impersonate someone else, or send unsolicited communications;
• Attempt to access boards, accounts, or data you haven't been given permission to access;
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the normal operation, security, or availability of the Service;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that breaches any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, remove content that breaches them, and, where required, report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

GoLinkr is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep the Service running reliably and your data safe, but we don't guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may need to suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons, and we'll try to keep disruption to a minimum.

We may add, change, or remove features over time as the Service develops. Where a change would significantly affect how you use GoLinkr, we'll try to give reasonable notice.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, GoLinkr is a small, actively-developed product, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including downtime or data loss. We'd encourage you not to rely on GoLinkr as your only copy of anything irreplaceable.

You can stop using GoLinkr and delete your account at any time from Account Settings, or by contacting us. When you delete your account, we anonymise your personal content (for example, replacing your name on posts with something like "Deleted user") rather than deleting a shared board's entire history outright, so the other members of a board you were part of don't lose things they've saved together. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on what's deleted, what's anonymised, and for how long.

We may also suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you may also have the benefit of any mandatory protections provided by the law of the country you live in.

We may update these Terms as the Service develops. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, let you know (for example, via an in-app notification). Continuing to use GoLinkr after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
